Stillborn

I like how Plath compared an unfinished poem to a stillborn child. When i first read the title I thought it was going to be about a stillborn child not a poem. A stillborn child is fully developed they just dont make it to live. Thats what Plath is saying about the poems, they are fully formed they just dont make it for anyone else to see. "They grew their toes and fingers well enough"(Burroway 312). The poem is fully developed and the author never lets it out to others for them to see, Palth wonders why they didnt make it to the public. I love the comparisons to something that everyone knows about.
